dipstick holder tube pushed up from block any clue how to seal?

Ok, so I'm doing a rebuild on my boosted 420 and found that the dipstick holder tube is pushed up from the block. I overfilled my oil once so it may have pushed it up... or could be from my blown HG pressurizing crank case... so on and forth. Does anyone have any clue how to seal it back in? I want to get this sucker leak free, I was thinking sand lightly around the hole and then RED RTV sealant.

Tight o ring on the groove, black rtv nice and thick behind it... That is how mine is stuck into the block right now. No leaks. Be sure to bolt the tab that holds it to the block back in.

Just go down to an autoparts store and get one of their o-ring variety packs for a couple bucks... I have a viton ring out of one of those on mine. I don't know what size. I just stuck one on that was tight and would barely slip down into the hole in the block, then slathered it up with that black rtv. Been in there for a year without any issues. Good luck!

I doubt it would happen from too much oil or from the headgasket, if anything that would have pushed the dipstick out.

What I would do is get an oring for it and put it back together like normal. No extra sealant. Just make sure you get the bottom of the tube in the hole and fully seated. Then bend you brack to where it needs to be to bolt down.
