Did I get a defective J Pipe?

I was in need of a J Pipe really bad because I lent mine to a friend, who sold it on the car (asshole) and I've waited 4 weeks for a j pipe from somebody here and this is what I got

Is that normal?? I have no clue how I'm going to make this work...
 
That's def a normal Jpipe but it's not the right one for your application. It MAY fit if you try to rig something up with couplers but most likely will not.
 
That J-pipe is for a sidemount. For a front mount it points in the opposite direction. I am sure you can make it work by ghetto rigging it, or you can get one off ebay, or just make something due for now.
 
I think what you need is a vrsf style j-pipe. It would put the outlet facing the drivers side instead of that way.
