Sidney,
I have a datalogging cable and am sick of the 3 cables falling out/being pulled out. Is there anywhere you can buy a male connector for the diagnostic port for a 91 talon?

theres a few cables with that connector that i've come accross....but I have a cable...and I don't wanna spend 30 + shipping on a nuisance.

I've only seen the connectors a couple of places on the web, and they wanted so much for just the cable that you'd be ahead to get a cheap code reader and piecing it out. Or, maybe try getting a socket from a junk car, spraying it with silicone spray (or WD-40), hooking up the terminals and then filling it with silicone seal. Let it cure, pull it out, and voy-luh.

The one I got from pocketlogger has the actual male connector but for some reason it doesn't work in my logger. It's got the female ends in the right spot yet there is an extra wire coming off of it for what I would suppose is a ground but why I need it, I don't know. All I know is that it doesn't work.

You mean like the OBD 1 cable shown on their web site? http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=pldsm

If you look at their installation instructions they make it clear the the extra is the power connector and goes to an unused slot in the fusebox.

Both the original TMO cables and the Digital Tuning cables are active requiring 12v to work.

Ahh, thanks Steve. Guess if I would've just read the instructions. :thumb: In my defense, it was an extra peice that came with the car, I have the DsmLoggers one. :p
