When I deleted all of my stuff under my battery, I was told to use a 1/2 PCV vavle and attach it to the gas tank breather tube. So it pretty much acts as a cehck valve and lets vapors out when they build up, but stays closed when it needs to, also prevent the smell of gas most of the time, Dont know if thats correct people can chime in thought.
 
Does this hose run under the car? If it does, wouldn't it be a good idea to take and cut the hose back by the tank and put the valve in it back there in order to fully eliminate the hose from the front of the vehicle all together?
