Well, heres the deal, i used to have a greddy intercooler but sold it for something better, i was hearing some good things about the dejon full race fmic so i decided to get it, but when i got it and was having it put on my car the the trans dip stick is blocking the short route piping and the cooler (which i beleive is the power steering cooler correct me if i am wrong) on the radiator is in the way. Does anybody have or know anybody that has this on there auto dsm and can tell me what has to be done to get it on? I really dont want to send it back and find another one to fit my car, what should i do?:dsm:

I have a dejon race front mount. The powersteering line that loops in the front of the car does actually interfere with the install. I took the cooler and that line out, just making a small loop with a piece of rubber hose up at the power steering pump. If this is unclear, i can get you a picture.

Yea, if you could pm me some pictures or email me them [email protected] Isnt there another cooler on it the trans cooler that would have to be moved?

Do you still have the stock auto tranny cooler? If you do then that's probably the line that's interfering since it goes through the area where the short route IC pipes ususally goes through. If that's the case then its a good time to upgrade to a bigger tranny cooler and mount it in the passenger side area where the SMIC used to be. If you have an aftermarket tranny cooler already then disregard this post. Goodluck...

Yea, i still have the stock one, i was looking on IPT trans and they have some on there what would be a good size out of them, the one is like $50.

I was also thinking, would i just be able to put a washer or bushing in between the bracket and the radiator support to clear the cooler lines? just a thought

I believe the Dejon race FMIC has to go where the hard lines for the tranny cooler is routed. In fact, you have to enlarge this hole(where the tranny hard lines are routed) in order to fit the outlet pipe of the IC. I have the $60 + size IPT cooler and its pretty good. The first intercooler on the 2G page is similar to what I have (side to side) instead of the race one which is inlet on the side and outlet facing the car. Again, goodluck...

Maybe i'll just send it back and get the street kit if that will fit correctly.

If you're staying with your current turbo then the smaller IC will work better anyway since there will be less pressure drop. If you're going with a bigger turbo down the road ( > 50 trim) then the race IC would be a better choice. The only stipulation is that you need to buy a new tranny cooler in order to do the install for the race IC (that and bending or cutting the auto tanny dipstick). Its your choice. Again goodluck...

Yea, i figured since the street kit is a bit smaller i could just stick some washers behind it so it doesnt hit the cooling lines and this street kit doesnt have short route so i wont have to worry about the dipstick, thanks for the replys guys:dsm:
