well just wondering how acurate defi gauges are. well the reason is i have some electronic gauges and well the boost gauges reads more boost then what im running and the egt i have a feeling reads a lot more then what im running so i wanted to know if anyone has ever like tested them. Like go to the dyno and seen the gague read 22 psi and the dyno also read the same thanks and if you have pics p[ost them!!! would love to see some setups.

Well they are quality, and though I've never seen it happen, it is not entirely unlikely or impossible.

Like anything, they can break or get messed up and then they don't work right.

But they are very good gauges. High quality stuff. Other than the price you really can't go wrong with them.

I got a set of DEFI D-Gauge and find them pretty accurate. The boost gauge matched the dyno, an old autometer and my Greddy Profec spec II readings. As far as the EGT, all I can say is that its been pretty consistent for the last 2 years. Not to mention that these gauges matches the 2G interior perfectly.

ya i have greddy gauges and they match the interior too pretty good but not so sure if they are acurate, im looking at getting the BF series. are the ones you have that matched to dyno mechanical or electronic?? like did you run the vac line in the car to the back of the gauge or to a sensor then a wire to the back of the gauge?? here what mine lookin like the one at night is real old before i had 3 gauges but gives you an idea

I had the vacuum line split already so we used that (took the one connected to the profec). Anyway, my D-Gauges matches it to a T, lights and fonts. If I remember, I'll take a pic of it tonight.

I had no luck find to many pics of them either. I think super95awd has defi's in his car check his gallery. I'm still saving up to get mine they are expensive as hell.

I have one so far...am looking into getting the Defi D EGT one sometime soon. They match the 2g interior both at day and night. They are very accurate and worth the $ IMO. Search the gallery for more pics...this is not my car but just to give you an example:

My friend with a Galant VR-4 had a Defi D-series gauge and when it came it was stuck on 3 psi instead of 0. It actually was reading 3 psi higher than what he was actually boosting, so he got a new one.

Sorry, no pics but I have the EGT and Boost gauge in the Defi-Link series. They work great.

I have the D-gauge mechanical boost gauge and EGT gauge. The amber backlighting matches the stock cluster lighting perfectly.

You'll be hard pressed to find some of the D-gauge line up now since it has been discontinued.

If you're comparing your boost gage to a MAP sensor, there's a good chance that your boost gage is accurate. When compared to my GM 3 bar MAP sensor, my boost gage reads about 3-4 psi higher. However, based on my dyno numbers and my detonation thresholds on pump gas, I have every reason to believe my boost gage is the more accurate of the two. Just something to consider before dropping that much on a new meter. By the way, I have a Defi BF series boost gage, too.

Its to bad that they discontinued the D series. Now they have a new series to replace them called the blue racer gauge.
