Took off ECLIPSE lettering a few weeks ago, kind of wish I hadn't because I can still read ECLIPSE from being there for so long. Stupid me. Is there anything I can do besides wait for it to hopefully look better?

buff the hell out of it. It never completely goes away. I just ended up painting it.

Your best bet is your going to have to lightly sand them and polish them, just like clearing out the haze on our headlights...did it for a buddy of mine...and it came out lookin new... jz be patient when doing it... :thumb:

Like said previously, sand it, be careful not to over do it. Wet sand it or buff it, then a coat of clear... Should take care of it, mostly anyways. If it fails then you can sand off the clear and just paint it.

Do what I did and pay Maaco the $45 they charge to professionally paint it. The piece still looks great over 1 1/2 years later.

I work in a body shop where we have people ask us the same thing. We always tell them to take a 2000 grit on an orbital or DA sander and wetsand it off, then take a rubbing compound and buff it. We do this on older cars that want a good shine out of them.
