datalogging in 3rd or 4th gear?

Who prefers tuning the car on 4th gear rather than 3rd gear via datalogger/AFC combo? I tuned mine 4th gear because if I tuned for 3rd gear I get crazyy amount or knock in 4th gear.

Do what works best for you. I tune in 3rd personally.

I have trouble tuning in fourth, because that requires me to be going 120+ mph at the end of the pull.

If you are seeing a bit difference between third and fourth, then you might want to consider if you car has any efficiency problems or anything.

Runs in 4th gear can be read easier, however running 4th gear to redline is fast!

Going that fast has been problem. I've been shutting down around 6000 rpm in 4th.

I do have efficiency problem. stock SMIC, stock IC pipes (next thing on the mod list) and EVOIII 16G at 18-19 psi Do have 550's though. Thanks for the replies

Don't run that much boost on a stock SMIC, problem solved.

But even with FMIC, would you not have more knock sum in 4th gear than 3rd gear due to load?
