Datalogger doesnt log.

I purchased a Palm M105 and an auto-on datalogger cable off of ebay. I installed MMCD and PalmNStein and neither of the programs will show any values for RPM, Knock, anything... I have no idea what the problem is, any help will be appreciated.

Sorry, never used either of those programs. A pocketlogger is easy, it comes with a cable you know is going to work, plus it shows you when it's connected and talking with the ecu. If you are not getting values for anything, then your not connected. Where the problem lies; who knows. Could be in the ebay cable, in the palm which could not be set up correctly, in the software...A lot of variables. Maybe search for some mmcd or palmnstien threads to see if anyone recommends how to get started.

try plugging it in, turn the car on, then the palm, open palmenstein, then press F1, which is the far left button ( the drop down screen helps a lot for each step in "how to use the logger") that should say connecting on the top of the screen, then press F2 to pause/unpause logging, F3 to save type a name, and save or F3, then F4 to discard.

make sure you have it setup correctly, when you turn it on originally, in car or out of car, press the up button and make sure you have it checked for 1g or 2g odbii. hope that helps, later
