ok so i read that i need the OBDII data logger cable since i own a 95 eclipse.

my question is can i only use a palmpilot to log, or could i use a laptop for the same purpose instead?

you can use a lap top to, but you also have to have the software. . and a tuning system you can just order the cable and expect to tune

i have a afc neo. i was just curious if i had to run out and buy a palm pilot specifically for this. and where can you get the software?

The only decent PDA logger was Pocketlogger, but I don't think he is selling it anymore. Also, all it will give you is the standard OBDII info, nothing Mitsubishi specific. EVOSCAN is the best thing going right now, but it logs VERY slowly on the 1995/96 ECU's, because the Mitsu protocol rides on top of the OBDII stuff. Expect only 7-9 samples per second. :(

wow i read on evo scan that on a 98 to 99 its about +100 samples per second. can you swap a 98 ecu into a 95? would it be plug in and go or would you have to mess with some wires?

You can only run the 1998/99 ECU on your 1995/96 2Ga DSM if you have a 1G Cam Sensor. The stock 1995/96 cam sensor is not compatable with the 1998/99 ECU.
