Cylinders 1 and 4 are not firing.

I have tried to do some reading here, but I am still at a loss.
I have a New Mits CAS, new Crank sensor, a new PTU, and coils.
1 and 4 are still not firing.
I have to unplug the MAF at idle to keep it idling.
There are no boost or vac leaks.
Can you guys give me some guidance on what to do now?

Sweet that you replaced all those sensors, did you ever check the voltages going to the sensors on the ECU side of the harness?

I have 2 ECUs - both have the same results.

I had high temp VHT Header paint on my header and 1 and 4 got so hot it flaked off.
I will check the voltages tomorrow.

If I test the connectors and all is well... is there anything else I can test or look at?

I have to unplug the MAF to keep the car idling... is this a related issue?

Sounds like one side of the power resistor (power module) shorted across - what happened with mine, in which it also took out the coil since the short caused one primary coil to remain charged.

Replace both resistor and coil and all was good with the world.

I just checked the CAS and CPS. Both were in the specified voltages when the key was in the ON position and while cranking. I also have a spark plug tester. I am getting spark on all 4 cylinders. What controls the injectors? Maybe what is controlling the injection for 1 and 4 is bad?

Why would paint flake off of the runners for cylinders that aren't firing? Is there any other way you have verified that cylinders 1-4 aren't firing? How does the car idle? Does it drive?

I was able to back it out of the garage, but it seemed to have very low power. If I leave the MAF plugged in, the car will idle for ~30 seconds then die. I have a noid light coming to check the injectors to make sure they are firing.

You should be able to hear them clicking. Use a long extension on the injector body. Also, have you checked compression on those two cylinders?

I have not checked the compression. Would it still die even with the MAF unplugged?

I believe all cylinders are firing. I am going to check to see if any injectors are clogged. The car has sat for 2 years. I have done a ton of reading on 2g eclipse will run with MAF unplugged. They all have the same issues as I do. I just cannot find a solution...

Have you checked timing? Also you could take the injectors out and actuate them with jumper wires and a battery. This will tell you if they are opening and closing. You could also have some broken wires possibly in the harness or bare wires that are making contact somewhere.

I took my throttle off last night and properly adjusted the TPS. (My IAC is blocked off)
My tps is set at .9K when the throttle is closed. I am going to put it back on tonight. I also found that I had missed a vac line on the back of my manifold, but when I pressurized the system, no air came out.

Check to see if your power transistor is out of it socket they have a tendency to wiggle loose and cause cylinders 1 and 4 to not fire
