Cylinder Bore streaks

I was putting in the #3 piston tonight and when I pushed it down the bore it streaked the bore all the way down. Didn't happen with the #4 piston and I didn't do anything different. When I run my hand over it I can't feel the streaks but they are very noticable. How bad will this effect ring seating? I'm using .020 over Ross pistons with Ross rings. I need this on the road like yesterday and taking it back to the machine shop is not an option. Any help?

Sounds like dirt during assembly. If you can feel them with your fingernail, you'll probably burn oil.

You already know the one right way to fix it, sounds like.

Well I pulled the piston and found out that my gorilla ass broke the end of the second ring while putting it in. The pistons seems fine, one small nick on the second ringland. all other rings are OK and I got another set of rings that I accidently ever endgapped. The second ring was overgapped by .0005" but I am going to go ahead and use that and pick up a honeing stone from Checker and hone it myself.
