Cutting out

Today on the way home from work my car started to cut out in 3rd.. So i let off the throttle and continued to drive and it happend again in 1st. It doesnt seem to happen at any certain rpm or anything and it didnt happen under boost. When it did cut out it was real quick and then back to normal. I glanced at my AFR and it was blank when it cut out and vaccum was at 15. I recently replaced plugs, wires, coil and maf due to a similar problem but i found that my coil was crap and one of my plug wires was arcing where it shouldnt. It didnt flash any codes... also a while ago my boost gauge started to stick at Zero at start up and wouldnt move until getting enough vaccum or boost to budge it. Im just wondering if anyone has had a problem like this and some ideas where to start trouble shooting.

I would probably start with the good old boost leak test and a compression test, just to see what results. It could also be a faulty ground wire somewhere in the loop causing the situation.

Maybe grounds or check for boost leaks! vacuum should be around 20

Sounds like an issue I had with my old GST.

Verdict in my case : Crank Angle Sensor.

It doesn't always throw a CEL, but it gets super annoying and happens randomly. It's not something that happens constantly but it's nerve racking because you know the next hiccup could be it's last. I'd say start with the small things (Boost leak, compression, leakdown, fluids, plugs, and wires) and then move right along. If it keeps up, as I said, I've had the exact same experience and it was the Crank Angle Sensor.

vacum leak somewhere check to see if any hoses are dry rotted yet.
