cuts out

Ok I have a 96 eagle talon tsi fmic afc bov My question is when I hit the gas the car sometimes cuts out real real hard . Just got the car not sure what it could some one told me the afc needs to be tuned please help thanks

Sure thing man. Welcome to the board.

When you are trying to diagnos a problem with a DSM, we all need to know stuff like:

1.Does it run? Y/ N If no, does it have compression?
2.Does the CEL stay on after turning on the key?
3. Current Mod list?
4. Mileage on current engine?
5. Are you ready to "Boost Leak Test" your car?
6. Do you have some $$$ saved up?

If it studders under full throttle, it could be something simple as (1) spark plug, or as complicated as a hose slipped off in a hard to get to location....that you will never find unless you Boost Leak Test it.

off the wall but is this consistent at a certain RPM? or when you go WOT? Check your TPS it may be a dead spot in the TPS. Just my .02 thoush
