Custom exhaust, Tsi.

Im going down to my muffler shop this monday and getting a custom exhaust done. I have a few mods currently, intake, boost raised to 15 psi..bov. What kind of piping should i be looking for? As in 2.5 inch, 3 inch. I really dont want to opt for a 2.5 now and have to replace it with a 3.0 when i get more mods and such. Is it possible to just get the 3 inch right now even if i dont actually need 3 inch flow? If so will it hurt me at all? Im going to do straight pipe from as far up my exhaust as my mechanic can do it. Should i expect Boost creep/spike? Im going for the magnaflow muffler, which kind should i get?
And last what type of power increase should i expect? All info is aprecciated

You want to go with 3" SS if you can. It cost more but the flow is much better and should not hurt you, also SS last longer and wont rust. I would go with the magnaglow race 3" muffler. Its straight through, looks and sounds great.

Well the problem with "most" exhuast shops are that they use a regular pipe bender...which restricts the flow....if you can find one with a mandral bender i would go with 3'.

That should answer your question right there. If you know you will go in that direction, get the 3". Also you can purchase 3" mandrel bends and give them to your shop to just weld to the piping if they don't have a mandrel bender. Though your car is AWD isn't it? I thought the exhaust on those was pretty much a straight shot?
I don't have many mods right now either and I think that I would be rather disappointed had I gone with a 2.5". Hope that helps.
