aaaaaaaaaa,
Africa
So my DSM project is finally done minus 2 things.
I have to rewire the backup lights and plate lights and have to get the exhaust done. It's a FWD (sadly) so I have to go custom cat-back to a Magnaflow muffler with a 3" inlet. I'm going to the shop on Thursday to get my other car inspected so I'm gonna make an appointment for next week to have the exhaust done. I just wanna know what to ask for when I get there.
1st off, what is the diameter of the stock pipe? Is it 2 1/4" or 2"?
So between the cat and the muffler, I have to go from the stock diameter to 3". I don't think you can squeeze a 3" pipe up through the axle and I'd bottom out everywhere if it went under. So what's the best way to expand the pipe?
I mean what size pipe should I run from the cat to the muffler? I want it to sound good, not ricey, I don't really care about a power increase since I know you won't see much on a NA 4G63 anyways. Just for the best sound.
Here are pics if anyone's interested (you'd better be). I want to take better ones for the gallery:
The engine bay could use a little cleanup but that'll come after its on the road.
oh and props to anyone who knows what my other car is (the white one in a couple of the pics).
On a side note what do you guys think I could get for this? Its a 91 but its only got 117k miles, no rust. Fresh paint job, all new brakes, ball joints, all that good stuff, Pioneer deck, Kicker 5 1/4"s up front, Kenwood 6 1/2"s in the back, 1000W MTX amp to two 12" MTX Magnum subs. 93 Talon TSi rear fascia conversion and 1gb Laser RS Turbo sideskirts. Seriously it's prettymuch mint minus a cig burn on the headliner. My brother says I should be able to get 4 grand for it.... that'd be nice, enough to buy a decent turbo one.
