ok i no what the ruels are and that you need to search and all that jazz. and i have. i have read 4 diffrent upgrade lists includeing the one on this site. basicaly i got about $500 of christmas money that i want to spend on my car. i just got the car a few mo ago and it already has the following (my profile mod list doesnt have everything):
*boost gauge
*oil pressure gauge
*narrow band a/f gauge
*egt gauge
*greddy front mont and 2.5 in pipeing
*dejon cool air intake with k&n filter
*a new ported t25 running 16 psi
*greddy rs bov
*full 3 in n1 apexi turbo back no cat
*3 in 02 housing
* ported manifold
* front and rear top and bottom strut bars
* short shifter
*new stock clutch

im thinking clutch. maybe injectors and 255 fuel pump but then i need fpr. or maybe a dsmchips ecu and chip.
this summer i will be puting in a fully built 6 bolt and hx-35. so i want something that i can afford now without getting a bunch of other stuff and that i will be able to use with a 7 bolt and 6 bolt. thats why im leaning twards the chiped eprom ecu.

any feed back would be nice
thanks.

sell greddy fmic, youll make more than enough to get the superior in everyway SSAC ebay fmic kit for $300, and youll have extra money from that.

why you got the ported t25? upgrade that, injectors, fuel pump, fpr, dsmlink, sell the lightshow a/f, get wideband o2. you sure you got a dejon cold air intake? if the filter is still in the engine bay, i dont believe thats cold air, unless you made a cold air induction box, or added 90 degree bend to drop the filter by the wheel well, but that might be hard if you are running greddy fmic with piping routing to stock smic

aftermarket clutch----- get flywheel as well

the paths are endless really everyone will give you different answers..

The ECU with chip would be nice but you'll have to buy the injectors at the same time so they know what to program into the chip, otherwise you'll have to upgrade the chip when you do get bigger injectors. ($20) Plus you could get a Walbro 190 and rewire it and not have to get an AFPR. A rewired 190 is good for over 400hp I've read.

i have that turbo and fmic bc everything on the car now is what it came with.

You've got it. You'll need all four of those for the bigger turbo in summer. You can do the injectors/255/fpr for 500 easily. I grabbed a 255HP, aeromotive A1000 and a set of 680's for $415 (exact number!) by buying deals and watching the classifieds, only the injectors were bought used.

I agree on ditching the fmic and getting the ssac one off ebay or of their website. Plenty of money to spend on some other mods. But as of right now if you are looking to make some decent power a new clutch is going to be needed. Fuel upgrades are also important if you planning on upping the boost. With new fuel upgrades you are going to need a way to control it all. Its gonna add up real fast any route you go. Its really up to you on which route to go but all are important.

if you are getting the new rebuilt motor just save your money and dont spend it on anything just in case if something goes wrong during the swap you have extra money

I agree thats the device that will let you tune your car, then you can get this and that. But with that you can tune for what you have and what you want in the future.

found a guy in classifieds with a eprom and dsmlink. he wants $400. but it is burned for 550s would that make a diffrence with my 450s or should i wait to instal it till i get some 550s?

i purchased a DSMchips ecu for my talon last summer stage 3 chip and ecu combo works really well for me and jeff is good guy helps u with tunning ...i recommend him. :talon:

In your profile it says you have Tein's with pillowball upper mounts, I didn't think they made coilovers for our cars with pillowball mounts? And I didn't see anything about a boost controller (but your T25 is at 16psi) Either way with only $500 to spend most of the post here are out of the question. If you're going 6-bolt and hx-35, I'd focus on boost controller, 255 whinebro, FPR, and injectors (if you can find a set within your budget) and SAFC. if you're tight on funds I'm sure you can find a set of injectors and an SAFC on the cheap in the classified section :thumb: while you won't be making any more power with these parts now, when the 6-bolt and hx-35 come into play you'll be glad you did.
