I know that its been asked already, but I need a little bit more of a consolidated list of places that sell a built long block 4g63 crate motor. I've got about 10 grand to spend on my 97 gsx. The engine has 200,000 miles and the transmission has bad synchros. Also needs new suspension. I don't have the time or place to do the rebuild myself so i was leaning toward a crate motor, but I want quality work, Not From DSM Graveyard. If you have some opinions on what I should do then I'm all ears. But, a crate motor would be the best option for what I need at the moment. I've also looked for shops to do the work, but no one wants to work on a DSM? Once again, any info would be much appreciated.

If I remember correctly Jacksons sells a built longblock for what you want to do. As far as transmission, Jacks would be the place to go. Your suspension depends on what your wanting to do with the car. The amount you can spend also depends on what work your getting done to the car, and where it is.. here are the links to the sites I named.

The Magnus Motorsports 2.3l in my time trial car has been racing for over two years now without a single hiccup. My next engine will be from Magnus for sure. You could say it was a "crate" engine as it came completely assembled and ready to drop in from them, though I had the head done elsewhere and then shipped to them.

Transmission wise jacks transmission is best i got me a rebuild kit from them, they shipped to me in Germany. Also if you watch 1320 videos, you see even the 1000+ gtrs run jack transmissions.

I already talked to Jack's, they told me that they were super busy with evos and gtrs at the moment and it would take them a long time to get all the work done. I also asked them for pricing but I never heard back. They said that I wouldn't get any deals if I was doing both the engine and trans rebuild. My first option was Jacks, but I've been looking at the long blocks from Force Engineering LLC and SIM, but I don't know the reliability of these companies. But, I would like Jack's to do all the work

There are a few vendors look around shouldn't be hard to find one. All good vendors here, pick one, make some calls, check the vendor feedback that's why its there.
