Ok i know lots of people are going to say that its bad...but i have a picture of the rod journals on the crankshaft the first one is where the bearing spun. The second one is a picture of a good one. Do you think i can get away with replacing the bearings and is there anything i can do to fix the journal up a bit?

Thanks

It needs turned or replaced. And the motor needs taken out of the car and disassembled. All that trash is thrown around the engine. And the rod on that cylinder is junk too.

They say if you can run a penny across the journal and see any copper its no go. I'd be afraid to do that on that journal though as it might just swallow your penny. Yes It is toast..

you need to do a rebuild

the crank needs to me magged or zyglowed forr heat/stress cracks, and if good ground undersized
or just replace it

the rod(s) need to have the big end checked and resized as needed or replaced.

the block needs to be pulled apart including all oil galley plugs and cleaned.

the head at a min needs to have the cams and HLAs removed, and the oil galley plugs removed and passages cleaned.
