I get a screeching sound when I shift gears chirping sound when idle in neutral and screeching again if I depress the clutch. When pressing the clutch my rpm drops enough to actually stall out even when rolling. I found that out by trying to test for crankwalk by taking a hard left turn with my clutch pushed in. Unsure if it’s meant to be a fast left turn or a hard (sharp left) turn which is what I did.

Am I cooked?

Check crank end play and find out. Sounds like throwout bearing at a minimum. You had another thread about first gear pop out. Did you fix that?

No the 1st gear popout was just kind of kinky. I just keep my hand on this shifter once I start rolling it’s all good.

This is my daily and I don’t really have the space to take out my transmission and check the play in the crank.

I’m just curious, is there a difference between the two conditions? I suspected input shaft bearing for a while because it would chirp when the clutch was not engaged, if I pressed it slightly it would go away. Now it chirps when it’s out and more noticeably when I press it in. Makes me think throw out bearing.
