I swapped my motor and i just finished putting it all back together. When I start the car it has a squealing noise coming from the transmission. when i push on the clutch it goes away. It did not do this before I swapped the motors. If i adjust/ bleed the clutch will that fix the problem, or do i need to replace the throw out bearing?

I am not sure if it is release bearing because the only time you are using it is when you push on the clutch pedal. So when you use it and it dont make noise then the release bearing is good then. But what could happen is the the release bearing is constanly touching the pressure plate and that could make serious noise. I would also say it could be the pilot bushing but I beliave dsm dont have any pilot pushings so check first maybe it is release bearing but if not then than it is the trans. Either or you still have to pull of the transe. Post up tell us the story

maybe the clutch is not fully disengaging and the release bearing just rides on the pressure plate, check the fluid FIRST and then check the slave for leaks, and then check the master for leaks under the hood and inside the car. Dont go changing stuf just check. Check the master for free play. If there is not enough free play then release bearing constanly riding on the pressure plate.

Thanks
Mike
