Throw Out Bearing Clip

well when my tranny went out sod idn't my TO bearing clip, I did some engineerign of my own with some mechanic wire and was wondering where I could get a TO bearing clip at? what I done for the time being is put the bearing where it was posed too be took mechanic wire threw the one hole, Twisted the end. and same thing on the other side. Has anyone else ever done this?

Yea I agree shoulda read what I typed. anyways I said I used mechanic wire to make a Throw Out Bearing Clip. And I need too know if it's a dealer item or what. And I need to know if using mechanic wire is gunna hurt anything. I ran a little piece threw each hole on the fork and on the bearing and twisted the wire together. oh and I wish some junkyards around here would have some DSM's b/c it's killin me having too have every part tranny bolts etc... shipped to me. I have called every junk within a hundred miles from me and none of them have anything.

So did you weld the tob shaft/guide back on? Did it work well? Any damage to the seal inside the bell housing due to the heat? Let me know. I'm dealing with the same issue right now

I just got a different tranny. From my understanding and research ya might as well rebuild the tranny if you goin too put a different bellhousing on it. b/c the bell housing sits face down when ya take it apart and the gear stack stays in the bellhousing part.

If you are talkin about gettin bellhousing from Gary then 150.00 plus shipping is what it was gunna be for me. and how I seen it was why spend bout 200 on a bell housin add another 150.00 200.00 and get a tranny and save your self the grief and cussin.

I'm sorry if you dont feel the sameway but thats how I feel about it.

1 pick up phone
2 dial local satan dealer
3 buy clip


why bother with a used part - if the TOB comes loose it will dig into your clutch and/or flywheel ruining tons of lovely expensive parts

do it right the first time

Dude the clip is only 7 dollars at the dealer man just call and order it then wait three days if that and get the right part
