Hey guys been trying to track down this stubborn oil leak I've had for years and only until recently has it gotten worse. I think the crank seal needs to be replaced. I had a issue with the oil pump sprocket nut coming loose and making a nice oil show. I fixed that but now the mystery oil leak has gotten worse. It usually was 2-3 drops and now its way more than that. In the pics am about to post the timing belt has no oil on it and neither does the oil pump sprocket only underneath the crank sprocket gear do u see oil. Also the car doesn't leak the oil until the car is cooling down.
The other thing is this is a topline oil pump. Been running for 30k miles on this built motor. Since I am pretty sure I gotta replace that seal I was thinking of replacing all the gaskets and timing components while I was at it. This could give me the chance of putting a oem front cover as well. What do you guys think I should do?
Edit: In case anyone wonders, yes I do have one balance shaft still in the motor which is not spinning. Never had issues with it but if I do get a new oem cover I plan on taking it out.
