Ive got a nice leak from as far as I can tell coming form the CAS. Now Ive replaced the oring on the backside with a new one, tightened down the valve cover to ensure thats not the problem and yet i still have a leak. This came up recently on a pretty long trip. Though the amount of oil loss seems minimal its more of a pain to ensure i have an extra 5 quarts of royal purple to constantly keep adding. Anybody else with this problem find a solution? Im running out of ideas.

Most likely your Valve Cover Gasket, and by tightening it down you may very well have cracked it...

As n00b as what i said may have sounded, I do know that that over tightening the valve cover can do a few different things, strip the bolt or crack the cover. Niether of which caused this. By tightening down i ment going over all bolts to ensure there were none that may be lose....

The area where the gasket mates the cover to the head shows no sign of leakage at all, the only area I can visibly see oil even with the CAS removed is just below the CAS itself.

The CAS has an o-ring in it, only accesable with the CAS off. This is a common leak spot and generally a very small "puddle" of oil will form inside the head where the o ring has leaked.

Hrmm, yeah Ive never seen this or heard of it in my 4 years owning my talon so wasnt sure. I did replace the oring but as of yet it seems to have seated right as there isnt signs of leaking anymore.
