For some reason, after I installled my catchcan, the motor will idle slightly slower, and will die out of I try to engage the clutch. After a cupple times of dieing, it will act like it doesn't want to start at all, just turning over.

I took the valve cover off and a tiny amount of smoke came out, and after that the motor will run fine again for a little while. I'm sure that i installed the catch can correctly, but i'll take some pics to post on here so everyone can see

The catch can is causing it not to vent make sure it is able to flow air back to your intake. and that the catch can is not clogged.

Did you leave the PCV in and or take it out and put it back in? If the PCV is still between your valve cover and the can then id suspect that first, theres no real easy way to clog a catch can setup other than the PCV.
