crank but doesn't run

My engine cranks when i turn the key but the car just won't run. Sometimes it sounds like it's running but then shut off right away. The old owner told me to unplug and replug the relay near the firewall(2 of them, i dunno what they are though) When the car doesn't start i just unplug and replug the 2 relay near the firewall and it starts just fine. For tonight, it failed me, i did the same thing but the car just won't start. Really frustrated, please help. Tell me where is the location of the thing that you are saying. I'm still a newbie and don't know a thing about this car. 95 eclipse rs. Thanks.

The relays are on the drivers side firewall near the brake fluid reservoir. One is for the fuel pump and the other (ASD) is the one that powers the computer. Perhaps one is intermittently failing or has a bad connection.

i tied the connector to the relays real good now, i think loose connection was the problem.
