last night i finally finished up my build, pushed it outside to start. and nothing.

Battery is brand new
starter is "newer"

I have power at the fuel pump, power at the fuse box

I need help!

thanks,

ben

Check the connections at the starter, sounds like the starter signal. Single black/yellow wire.

does it click or make any noise pertaining to the starter. Maybe a bad soleniod or something in that realm.

the starter clicks. but i'll check the connections at the starter to make sure.

I'm looking at the harness going into the ecu. There are a bunch of wires cut (previous owner) when he was getting rid of all the wires he "didn't need"

i'm going to list all the wires that are not connected to the car and if any of them are needed please tell me.

small plug-

104 ( for the clutch cut)

medium plug

59- coil a2 for idle speed control motor
58- coil a1 for idle speed control motor
68-Coil "b2" for idle speed control motor
67-coil "b1" for idle speed control motor
57-fuel pressure control valve
62-purge control solenoid valve

big plug.

14-air flow sensor active filter reset (idle switch)
10- air flow sensor
12- ignition timing adjustment connector

i tried it with the charger on..

no go =[ its going to be something stupid.

the hard part is finding the stupid part.

it sucks right i just got done doing my head gasket and all that happy shit my car did the same thing. i just dropped it off at the shop but im pretty sure my connection to the starter are bad. check that.

took the battery to advanced.

battery is rated at 650 Cold cranking amps

battery put out 375.

I'm about to pull the starter

Take your starter to Advanced. They should be able to test it also. It definitely sounds like a bad connection such as ground or as simple as battery terminals and posts. Also, make sure all the wires to the alternator has good connection and tight.

put a new starter in it.

still clicks.

I noticed, when trying to start it the negative wire is actually twitching.

anyone care to explain on that one?
