Trying to get this damn crank timing gear bolt off, quick check the bolt is a normal thread bolt yeah?

I have been going at it for a half hour at least, I tryed using a cheater, trying using the hammer and breaker bar method, soak it down with some pb blaster. Not budging. I seriously need to get a new impact I guess B/C I am about 100% sure it is a standard thread direction and not reverse.
 
I've done it before with just a cheater bar and socket, not fun and its been a while. Trying to get my damn crank out this block so I can have it mirco polished and so I can hone the cylinders.
 
I use a chain wrench on the crank pulley and and 1/2" drive breaker bar in the bolt with a cheater and it always pops off. Sounds like you've got the right ideas, just keep at it. It is 100% normal threads. Lefty Loosey.
 
I have a squishy grip screwdriver put in bewtween one of the crank journals and the bar that connects main caps. Then a breaker bar stuck in the hole, and a 4 ft" cheater bar. I think I could get it off if I had some one to hold the block still LOL.
 
I just put a breaker bar on it and let the starter and the ground do the work.

Agreed. Always did the crank bolt on my cars before doing anything else. Attach the breakbar to the bolt and wedge it between the suspension or the ground (depending on the car) and then crank. Instantly loosens it.
