I was looking at my fuel rail/injectors earlier and I noticed on the green end of one of my injectors there was a crack and I was able to spin it. I am trying to get my motor back together and running again. Is this something that I need to replace, or would it hurt it to leave it like that temporarily? I just noticed it now so I don't know if it was that way when I pulled my motor apart of not. I don't want to melt a piston or anything on my fresh rebuild. If I can't re-use it, can I buy an individual injector? Where?

Thanks!

It's called the pintle cap and you should have it replaced. The green ones have two holes in then and direct the spray at each of the two valves. If you leave it on it will likely wind up blocking a valve or in the cylinder.

Places that clean and flow test injector should be able to replace it or consider this a reason to upgrade the injectors.
