CPS question

if i have the cps sensor plate on upside down would that make the sensor not work properly or do i just have a broken sensor. during cranking the sensor voltage stays at a constant 4.93V. When i did my rebuild i didn't realize until now i put the cps plate on upside down.

If your sensing blade doesn't line up with the CPS (at TDC) like this (which it probably doesn't) then it won't work: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=72783&d=1176363725
