I bought my cp pistons from a guy on here didn't get the spec sheet for it, does anyone know what the cp pistons specs are for 6 bolt .20 over 9 to 1 compression.
took them to the machine shop and they just called me and told me they need the clearance sheet. Which I did not receive with the parts.

Thanks

Contact the manufacturer. The clearances will depend on your goals. Nitrous, street, etc. Same with your ring gaps. Check their site im sure they have it listed somewhere.

+1 It's not a set number, it's actually an equation. Your ring end gap and piston to wall clearance are determined by what you plan to do and the expansion rating of the piston.

FWIW my Manleys called for .020 top ring and .015 second ring.

thanks guys, the machinist found the numbers yesterday and said I don't want to make over 500 hp I said I wanna make around 550, then he told me one of the cyls was already bored out to much. So lucky enough a fellow dsmer is going to give me his na 6 bolt block for free try and try again. I am going to email cp as well just so I can get specific numbers.

Thanks again,
If I get the specific numbers for the pistons I will post them all up

Thats good to have on hand!

yea I bought the pistons from a guy off here didn't get the clearance sheet. however the sales ppl at cp seems like great ppl they responded back fairly quickly with the info. now just to get the info to the machine shop in hopes they haven't started on my block I dropped off saturday. :ohdamn:

Did you notice how the clearance is made into the piston?

Even if the machine shop bored, but not honed the block all will be fine.
