What where they protesting Drew? The fact that your car is actually developed and not just bolt on parts?

They said the hard top. Cars all over the field are using aftermarket hard tops of various designs.

The protestor was saying that design should include a rear window instead of an open hole, there was nothing specified about it in the rule book that I could find. We have been running like that in the miata for several years now so we just continued, the performance effect is negligable. We were asked to put rear lexan in next year to resolve any dispute.

Not that it would have helped anything. We only won by 6.8 seconds a lap... to second place. To the team that protested us was more than 8 seconds/lap behind. It would have taken dragging an anchor to change to the results this year.

I can sort of understand where they are coming from, I am happy to comply with any request from the stewards but waiting until after the event to contest it, then making a scene at the awards ceremony was pretty classless.

I thought that was Buttonwillow... my old stomping grounds! Congrats Drew, reading up on your events helps fill the void left by Collier, man he did some really awesome write-ups. The car is looking pretty cool now, though I'm partial to white cars I guess - Jake came by my house the other day and was asking if I had seen the new body mods on your car. Now that I have I can see what he was talking about, and what his will soon look like. Good stuff man, keep it up.

JK man! Congrats. It's good to see proper aero on a dsm. Your team and yourself are extending the limits of what a dsm is capable of, thats for damn sure. It gives the rest of the dsm world something to strive for. Good luck next season; hope to see the car in P1 all year!

It still was than the hard top car!! but this is composite roof is even faster still.

Thank you very much for the compliment! We got some cool stuff brewing and hopefully it comes together. We want to hit even bigger wins for the community.

When we started this in 2009 season we were killing in street class. 2010 we dominated modified/limited. We are still finding the edge of what this chassis is capable of, so stay tuned!

About the protestor, I'd prefer not to start a big thing over it and just keep going out there and running numbers that nobody saw coming.
