im thinking the colors listed are 2g colors. ( i dont really know for sure, ive never seen the need for COP other then the "bling" factor.
Can you look at a friends 2g coil and compair colors?

Here is the sketch of my COP wiring. I was curious how it worked, so I took mine apart and made this diagram of it. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me. I free hand sketched this while holding the paper up against the side of my car, so don't laugh at my sketching skills :p

Oh, those wire colors are the colors on the COP, not the car. If you give me a little while, I can check which wires I matched them to on the car. I did the same as you, I cut the plug off my old coil pack, and wired it onto the COP so I could just plug it into my harness. It works fine.

What kind of cop setup do you have? Bushur? I dont have a green wire the pigtail i cut off of my stock coils.

Also did you have to cut a little off the plug boots on the coils, or did they come already cut ? I see that i need to cut a little off the boots and was wondering as to how much i need to cut.

My COP is a Switzer, I believe. My coils came already installed in it. Those wires colors I have listed are on the COP itself, from Switzer. They don't match the car wiring harness colors...give me a few minutes, I will go brush the one foot of snow off my car and check which wires from the car I connect to the colors I have listed in the diagram :D

Ok, here is the wiring as I connected it to the car. I changed the wires to match the colors in the car's wiring harness. I hope that helps :thumb:
I had to brush a foot of snow off my car, and inspect the wiring in the dark, to find this :p

No problem, I know that when I was trying to set up the COP system, I couldn't find much help on actually wiring the coils in. I'm just glad to help when I can :dsm:

Does anyone know what each wire is? Power ground? signal wires? I showed the diagram to my freind and he said it was wrong.

This diagram is straight from a commercial COP system that I bought. It is on my car, running right now. If you look at the wiring diagram, the 1 and 4 coils are wired in series, and the 2 and 3 coils are wired in series.

here is what I did mine by.. not sure if its the same or not...

Just as you would normally, just clip the timing light to the ground wire of the coil number 1, it should see it. I done this on street bike motors and snowmobile cop system with no problems.

cool, thanks for the quick reply, im going to need that info next weekend when i start it up but i just wasn't sure where to get the firing signal from since there are no more wires.

After starting it up with the coil and wires and getting my bases down, i put my coil on plug setup on and my car wont start. I verified that i plugged it in, and i know the rubber boots went on the plugs, then the spring seated properly. Any suggestions? Do i have to unclick invert CAS in link? Gap different?

The cop. should be a plug & play deal, unless the trigger wires are accidentally inverted (resulting in reverse firing order).
I would re-check your wiring for correctness, or bad connections . . . :talon:

I had mine wired with 2 wires backwards, when I bought it was just 3 wires 1&4,2&3,and 12+.

I had 1&4 wired with the 12+ and the 12+ wired as 1&4, lets just say running on 2 cyliders isn't fun....

I called up Buschur Racing(from where I bought my COP setup) and they gave me the correct wire color codes....

Now that I switched my 2 wires runs like a dream, fires beautifully, and a much, much, cleaner look
