2G Coolant temp sensor connector

While working on my tsi today i noticed the wires were broken at the backside of the connector. i am going to call the dealership tomorrow for one but i would like to know if anybody knows if any other connectors,preferably from emissions, can be used. i have a complete engine side harness off a 1g also. i am running ceddy mods so i can turn off any cels. i am going to work at getting th epins out of the connector first

i am heading out of town and would like to take the tsi and the dealership here takes 2 weeks to get parts usually, any help would be great

I do believe the 1g connector works for that sensor, i remember someone asking earlier on here, thedealer wont have it just the complete harness. If the 1g does work i have a good one.

u can get the connector off a lot of Chrysler's. I had the same problem and went to junker with the connector and found it on (if I remember right) a 2.7 intrepid.

i will check my 1g harness tonight and get back to you about it. i check rock auto and they use a different part number for 1g and 2g but i will check anyway. also i have a friend who works at a scrap yard so i will ask him today to nab a coolant temp sensor connector off an interpid today.

To finish this thread off, i managed to get a connetor off a jeep cherokee, most chrysler, jeep, dodges used these connectors up to 97 (jeep untill 94 IIRC).
