Hey I am battling with my car and I have one code left to get rid of before I can finally get the CEL to go away and I believe it’s a code that was thrown because of a Coolant Temperature Circuit, does anyone know about how to go about this?

I don’t know where to even start because I had a different coolant temp code for the sensor itself but I replaced that and it reads temp just fine. I am lost and I don’t want to keep it sitting for any longer.

:( any help is appreciated thank you.

Let us know when you can check and be 100% sure.

P0115 would be an issue with the Engine Coolant Sensor and not related to the dashboard gauge. #2 in the picture, #1 is for the dash gauge. I think there is another for the A/C but I can't find it right now.

The connector/wires for the ECT sensor often fail so make sure to check them all the way back to the ECU.

Yes 98.99% sure that P0115 , part 2 was the sensor I had replaced and part 1 is what I was guided by my “mechanic” neighbor and it makes sense that the connection or wires are damaged or whatnot. If the wires are damaged what should I do next?

People usually search with google and get a replace pigtail to splice in if it's just the wires on the end. Otherwise the go back as far as needed to replace them.
