So after inspecting the motor to figure out how difficult it would be to to remove the trans with out taking the motor out I noticed a coolant leak from the head gasket, its a new mls head gasket, and the head and block were resurfaced, so i know its not due to scaring on either. But what is the cause for the leak would it leak because I torqued down too much, also I don't have a head alignment dowel from the side the leak is coming from. The old one broke off and I couldnt get one from the dealer and I have no idea where to get one, so I went with out it, I just built the motor and it hasnt run yet due to the motor locking up because I installed the torque converter wrong. (I attached it to the motor first instead of lining it up with the trans first.) So what should I do to fix the leak issue should I scrap the mls and go with the other type of head gasket, or redo the head bolt torque process and see what happens.
