Coolant in Oil with 130 compression across all Cylinders

I went out to change the oil in the car since it has been sitting all winter and when I dumped it out I noticed coolant in the oil. I put new oil in the car, started it up and it idled just fine. Then I checked the compression after the car was warmed up and every cylinder was at 130.

Last summer I had put on a new SMIM and Fuel pump. I put on probably 200 miles after installing those. Before putting the car away last fall I had no overheating issues or coolant problems.

The head gasket was just replaced with an MLS one, not 20 months ago.

Is this a blown headgasket or could it be something else?

sounds like a blown hg. To use the MLS your suppose to mill both block and head. Also if your running arp head studs and you didn't torque them down in a 30-60-90 sequence the bolts could have come loose and theres the reason for the coolant in the oil. 99% of the time coolant in the oil good nice of hg going bad or completely gone.

The head was milled flat and black was checked for flatness before installing the new Head gasket and they are ARP head studs. There was no coolant in my oil last time I changed it. I would like to add that the Oil filter was there incredibly hard.
 
Unless you are making stupid horse power it would be a gradual failure, you can cut it a million different ways, but it certainly sounds a whole lot like improper install with the studs. No matter what you need to pull the head and look at the HG.
 
Are you still running the stock oil cooler, sometimes when the filters are over tightened they can crush the water block and allow coolant to mix with the oil.

But that doesn't explain that low of a compression number.
 
took the oil cooler off and the filter and this time there was a lot of coolant in the oil already. I put my finger over one of the cooler coolant lines and blew through the other and it held all the pressure I could build up just fine so I'm guessing thats not it.

Yea no kidding.. the more help the better.. This whole problem is making me sad.

so does very one think the gasket blew?
 
I understand the need to be lazy and abbreviate things, but can you try to stay consistent with the already thousands of other abbreviations and not call a turbo a TB, which we use to abbreviate throttle body.

4.5 hours later here I am. Have work tomorrow so I'm going to tackle the timing belt and check the head gasket tomorrow night. I'm sure I will need some input/help, thanks everyone for your help.

I see the service limit is 121 on the 6-bolt and my compression reading was 130. Should I look at a new bottom while the head is off or did the blown head gasket decrease these numbers?

Ski.dd like hg is shot. But for it to have low compression across the board, the hg would have had to blow at each cylinder equally right? Sounds like there may be another problem in there.... either way good luck man. Keep us posted.
 
Leaking head gaskets do not always mean you'll have low compression. I bought my '97 GS in 2002 with a leaking head gasket mixing oil into the coolant, and it's still doing so almost 10 years later.

I would first put money on a leaking oil cooler, but a bad head gasket is also highly possible. You can rule out the oil cooler being the problem by looping the coolant lines and watching for oil to run out of the coolant hose fittings on the filter housing.
 
I took the head off tonight and the head gasket wasn't torn anywhere so I took some pictures to see if you guys could tell where the leak occurred. I haven't pulled a head before so I'm not sure what looks normal and not. The coolant wasnt on that cylinder before I lifted the head off.

The bolts were on there extremely tight some more than others. and they were finger tight going into the block. Any other information or pictures you guys would like please let me know and I will get them to you

It looks like you could be the headgasket,but also several factors in it. I would take the head to a machine shop and have them check the deck on it and pressure test it. Then slap a new headgasket on it and make sure you do the right torque specs/sequence and call it a day.
