so i was driving my car after i did a valve job put a brand new head gasket it started 2 heat up after i was driving then i went to pull over and the car just died so i got it towed home n i did a compression test and never in my life have i seen 0 in every cylinder:hmm:....the car is 1990 talon tsi awd

0psi is no good.Check the timing belt.It could have skipped and maybe you got some sweet new valves inbedded in your pistons :(
 
Pull off your top timing cover and make sure the belt and cams are moving when your turning it over..

everything turns when i crank it but the engine rotates and literally feels like it has no compression at all

Just throwing this out there, also try the compression tester on another car just to see if maybe that tester is faulty.

i would do that if i had another car

Thats messed up!! If every thing is rotating when your cranking, I have no clue..
Sounds like time to take off the timing covers and make sure its still in time!
 
he did say it started to over heat maybe he did not torque it properly

Yeah,He just said started to heat up so I didnt think he meant overheated....Maybe though.Like the block wasnt clean enough,had coolant or a little bit of old gasket on it and it didnt seal up right.But dead 0psi seems a little wierd.Sounds like it skipped time if its turning over super fast but you wouldnt think it would be 0psi across the board even then.:confused:

i originally replaced the head gasket because it overheated
