Converting from a Talon to an Eclipse [Merged 3-8]

Hi to you all,

Just few days ago I bought myself a Talon TSIAWD. I had been looking for a AWD 5-speed DSM for 3 months. Finally I found a good one with nice price. Theonly downside is that I was looking for a GSX actually. That means I have to do a conversion. Since I don't want to spend a lot of money fordoing that then i am open to all suggestions. There are two options as I see.

1) Somekind of tuning bodykit (from e-bay) 330$

2) Buy from somewhere 2Gb Eclipse body parts. (I prefer this option)


Then:
front, rear and reverse lights (from e-bay) 300$
turbo wing (from-ebay) 100$
also I would need fog lights and fog light bezel's and door caps.

Don't start me.

I'm from Europe.. Estonia to be exact and there is no normal possibility to get these parts.
I have a friend in NC, but he doesn't have time to deal with getting these parts. He is willing to ship them to me if I organize these parts to him.

Would anybody be so kind to hook me up with these parts? Again, I ask for your help because I don't want to pay a lot. I would be very happy if I didn't have to order them from separate places.

Does anyone have a car graveyard near them. The hardest parts to get with a normal price seem to be: Rear bumper, fog lights, fog light bezels, side skirts and door caps.
If anyone could hook me up with these parts, I would be willing to offer small service fee also.

I have a local guy who is always getting 2gb part cars in. I know for certain that he has front, rear, skirts, and door caps from a 2gb car right now. The wing i'd have to check on. If you are interested i'd be more then willing to help you out in obtaining these. Let me know.

What year is it I think the 97-98 talons look pretty nice with some rims it will look like you already have a body kit if its a 95 or 96 I would convert though just a thought

Like i said he gets 2gb cars in all the time and just parts them out at his shop. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for him to find a pair of bezels for you.

try mitsubishioemparts.com for the fog light bezels. there only $14 each which isnt bad at all for new parts. Also for the bumper i just picked up a oem type front bumper off ebay. 120 shipped and was to my apartment in 2 days. very nice qualitypiece also.

At the moment, with your help and with e-bay, I have found front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, door caps, fog light bezels, front,rear and reverse lights (havent bought them thou). But still am missing the fog lights (i don't want to pay 200$ for them and the wing.

Not sure what you mean by # 13 is the most important the bezels are #25 adn #24 i havent done the bezel yet or the bumper actually just have it in my room. There is going to need to be fabrication the way it looks to hook the bezels up. since the bumper i have there is no where to screw them in. Tuesday i will be installing the bumper and i will see about what its going to take to hook them up.

I have someone who i bought my rear bumper off of and he said he is going to work on making the bezels out of carbon fiber but without the hole for the fog. I need to get ahold of him and see if he is still thinking about doing this but im going that rout since when i get a fmic im not going to run fog lights.

I would just find round fog lights that are the same size as the hole in the bezels on ebay or even advanced or places like it.

Ohh and no you dont need all the parts in the pic most of the stuff you rip off the old bumpers should bolt up to the new..someone else who has done it should be able to verify but if not...monday i am swaping to 95 eclipse rear and 99 front so i will be able to let you know if you will need anything else.

Again i havent done this Yet atleast for another 2 days but from my understanding the talon bumper parts should bolt up to the eclipse bumper except for the obvious stuff like the fog lights and such. the brackets and bolts should be the same. someone please help if you have done this.

I recently did the eclipse conversion on my 95 Talon and I dont have brake lights. I found out that I need to wire them differently so the blinker runs just the middle bulb in each light, and the brake light is run off the centermost bulb in each light... but is there any way to wire them up just like it would be if it were an eclipse? With the blinker cutting out the brake light?

I thought I had it figured out, but I realized I'm still having the same problem as you. I reused the Talon harness though, so I have all the proper lights. I'm just really picky and want mine to light up like an OEM eclipse. If anyone has done this already, post it up.

i did the talon/eclipse tail light conversion and i used the talon wiring i just set my tail lights up a lil diff then everyone else, my outter lights are parking/brake, my center is turn signal only and is off when not used, and my inner ones are parking/brake i think it looks really neat and is alot diff. i do have a ? tho...i put a eclipse body kit on and the bumper sags in the back all the way around under the tail lights what do i gotta do to make it fit a lil better?

When mounting the rear bumper you need to build custom brackets to screw the bumper into. I used L brackets.

I used the same brackets the talon bumper uses.. just drilled out where it was attached to the body and moved the sides and the center peice up. Worked great for me.

I figured out how to wire them

I've still got to get some connectors and a resistor, but I got it to work earlier...

I am half way from Talon (95) to Eclipse and I have a problem.
How to rewire the taillights to make them work as US Eclipse lights.

I used the search and only found:
Eclipse US to Eclipse EDM
Talon US to Eclipse EDM


but no

Talon US to Eclipse US

Maybe someone has done that and can describe that to me.
