Conversion...

So to follow up my first post in the introduction, im doing a conversion to my eclipse. Im giving it what is know as the Supra Conversion kit. This body kit is AIT Racing body kit i came across that is supposed to be a mimic of Veilside's Body kit that was made for the Toyota Supra. Its kinda a Bomb Style body kit. Right bellow is a link.

Some of you are probably thinking im stupid for this but, what ever. haters hate . The one thing im not sold on yet is what color to have it painted. Im thinking about keeping the same color(Matt Black) or getting repainted as a Mitsubishi Black.

Any thoughts? please leave me ## thoughts on this conversion as well!

Years back this company had a TRD Supra style kit looked convincing enough. Looks more convincing than the one you posted IMO, if faux Supra is the look you're going for.

hahaha yea, i seen that. im like, thats not exactly an eclipse rear end.
But to give you a better idea of what i was aiming for it was more of the Veilside Knight Racer body kit they had made for the Supra.

Do like the sideskirts on the yellow car in the link. Front end looks ok, back end not so much.

Supra look alike kits belong on a supra my friend...The front bumber is actually pretty cool.There was a member here that did two teeth like things in his bumper and that looked really badass.

Unless your single and just looking for tail.Then in that case i say buy whatever u want.

i may just stick with the rear end i already have on the car. i felt it looked alot better than the one in the link. I love the side skirts in the link, because you can giver ## rear breaks an air vent through the side skirts which is awesome

well in all honesty, i just wanted to do something unique. im sick of seeing all these eclipses that have nothing but a 4g63 in em turbo charged AWD and guns blazin. i mean yea, its cool, its a thing, but when everyone who has a gsx is doing that and making it look cute it just makes me sick. and just about everyone is going for that blitz body kit style. which also makes me sick. so i figured id do something kinda unique and make my eclipse into kinda a supra crossover.

You know what gets more tail then a body kit,rims,tints,neon..A turbo model,Boost is better than looking cool..And either the chicks is scared shitless,or moist

well if it helps any toward what ## saying im actually doing more of a conversion than what you think i just didnt wanna talk about it in here because this isnt exactly a proper forum thread for it, but im ripping out my engine i have in the car and drop a 6G7* in it.

I hope you know how to do body work and bondo. That kit doesn't just "bolt" on. I hate to bash on a 420a but all around bad for me. And air vents to cool your drum breaks isn't that cool . Some people do pull off some good body kits so big props if you can make it look good. Paint, Fitment and stance will make a huge difference in how it will come out. Good luck, post pictures and updates if you actually go through with it.

ummm my rear isnt drum breaks...they are disk breaks sir... and plus i hate the 420A as well because its been nothing but all around problems for me . Hens forth why im doing a conversion and dropping a different engine in.

The reason most people stick to stock body is because its CLEAN, ORIGANAL, and simple. Like stated above, A:some: body kits look somewhat decent. But 98% of them are gaudy looking, added dead weight, and just plain ugly. There is nothing unique about kitting a car.

you guys are missing the point, its not just for looks. its a conversion. theres more to it than just adding a new body kit Blargh.

if i was all about it having a cool, cute body kit id just leave the one on it thats on it right now....

Holy hell, if you don't brake hard enough you could break something.

Hit the brakes or ill break your face.

The brake pedal broke. (The other break)

Braking into a corner could break your lead. (Not leed, or lead, which is a very dense metal in case you didn't know)

Break out a bottle of brake fluid and bleed your brakes.

Also, that kit is ugly. If you want to look more supra like, I think the buddy club 2 version is the closest.

The GSX came from the factory with a 4g63, turbo, and AWD. So that's like saying:

"im sick of seeing all these Supra's that have nothing but a 2JZ in em turbo charged RWD and guns blazin."

But I can promise your not going to get any constructive criticism on Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements.

I can gaurantee that most companies are still runnning off the same stock from the early 2000's. Such a waste of time and materials if you ask me.
