Can someone verify a couple things with me?
1. For wot tuning on a maf setup, do I choose my desired air fuel ratios on the open loop max octane or min? How do I know which to choose? Do I leave them alone?
2. To match my wideband with the estimated ratios on wot, I use my wb factor to adjust the corresponding slider to match my estimation with wideband, but what if at a 900hz, my wb factor reads at +10% but on 960 it reads a -3.8%.
It's so confusing when someone says use sliders and others say to use the direct access tables. My car is currently stock besides some kelfords 272 and 3 in exhaust. I have my wideband and boost gauge linked as well.

I usually copy the same AFR table to the MIN and Max tables. Attached is a good table to start with.

I would suspect a drastic change between two adjacent MAF comp cells. Is this an actual occurrence?

In my opinion and many other knowledgable members here, sliders should be left alone when making adjustments. Use the direct access tables only to achieve the desired values. Using both (the ecu will always use the DA table) will make for more problems than I have found its worth.

it happened something like that maybe not that much of a difference, just don't have a log to show. My tables were also left stock when this happened during a wot pull.

I forget the menu name but your min and max tables have a target area that can be adjusted you adjust based upon throttle positions

I think its the direct acess tab been a while since ive had my car
yeah, but i didnt know whether to use the min or max octane table.

Should i also do the same for my timing tables? i just opened the log for the evo timing map. isnt 10.1 max and 9.5 min too rich for wot pulls? i want to target around 10.7, 10.8.

I would copy and past and use same for both because your tuning on one octane level im assuming that is for dual maps when you have the flex fuel sensor
Cool. So after I match my wideband with the estimated ratios, I can change my desired air fuel ratios and my wideband will follow as well without me making adjustments again on my maf comp?

First you set the target afr, than you make a wot pull and look at wb factor at each HZ point .So for example at 3500 rpm maf raw600HZ wb factor is 6% you raise maf slider by 6% and so one . Estimated ratio is your target afr so you have to tune each HZ point you self . Here is a target afr of 10.8

Thanks. How would I go from a slider that's the highest for cruise and make a huge increase for the next slider that's used for wot? Since I have bigger cams I need to increase my higher sliders by a lot.

It would be much easier if you posted a log so the people in this thread would have something to reference when trying to answer your questions. You could keep asking 100 questions, or just post a log and get them all answered in a single post...

a good trick for fine tuning your cruise maf points is watch your dataloged mafraw and try to drive at a steady pace hitting each maf point for about 5-10 seconds, letting it stabilize. park and review the log then check your WBFactor for each maf point and see what its suggesting to do. use the selection averages function to get a good % number to adjust to.

fuel and timing sliders should not be used for your final tune. use the DA tables to set your timing and fuel. you can use the sliders for quick adjustments so you don't need to turn off the engine to save changes to the DA tables, but if the adjustment is nessesary it should be added to the DA table and zeroed back on the sliders menu. any changes made to the timing and fuel sliders are added on top of the setting in the DA table, so if you are using sliders and DA tables, it's gets confusing fast.

Thanks :hellyeah:That's what i wanted to know.

You need to keep your threads seperated. You already have a idle and cruise thread created in the tuning section.
