Ok i can't remember where i read this, but i saved it so i could make a thread about it. Could someone please explain this? I'm trying to learn as much about modding my auto as i can so i don't pop another tranny:

mods for an Automatic 2g
It removes the 2g turbo's shift timing retard by disrupting the communication
between the TCU and the ECU. Specifically: Engine/transaxle general control
torque reduction request signal 1.

I remember reading that you can do this with DSMlink, but you could also do it pulling a wire from you're TCU and cutting another wire to the ECU. I know it sounds pretty scary to mess with it, but apparently it works.

Yeah I wouldn't mess with that, those shift points and connection to the ecu/tcm are there for a reason. If you want to mod your tranney just go buy a shift kit they aren't that much and a lot safer than waht you are talking about.

well i already have a shift kit and all the little goodies that you can get, I'm trying to get more. I'll eventually get dsmlink, but until then i was wanting to try this out. Has anyone in this forum actually tried this, or known of someone who's done this??

Nope and I don't think there are too many people that would have done this. Cutting wires from the ecu, not a smart idea. Sounds like ghetto rigging to me.

ghetto rigging sounds alittle harsh... i mean come on, we take out a little peice of plastic from our bcs to make more power. Someone had to figure that out, and i was wondering if this was a little known trick that someone could do. If anyone has done this, post you're results or comments.
