compression ratio

i was wondering what would be a good compression ratio for a 420a running over 500 hp?
can anyone answer this?

A low one since your obviously gonna turbo. I would look into 8.8:1 or in the area. Also if your gonna run nitrous lower that a little bit more.

nitrous will be later when ive done everything else i can possibly do and im board with it i always heard lower compression for higher hp i wasnt sure though how low. so in the 8.8:1 range?

Well lower compression means LESS power. Its just when you go boost its easier to see knock with higher compression. But yeah stay low, i remember je has some 8.8 pistons, and some other company has like 8.5:1 but it dont matter which.

Go low for safety and ease of tuning. You can do high CR if you are a very delicate MS tuner, and have money set aside to cover catastrophic failure.
