Hey guys, I'm clutch shopping currently and trying to see if anyone has used a competition clutch stage 3 before. If my math is correct then Their advertised holding capacity over stock is 150%. So 203tq*1.50= 304 wtq. I don't think that this is correct. But if it is I just wanted to see if you guys think that I should run a Stage 3 or 4. Car is currently my dd. My current mods are basic bolt-on's (ETS FMIC, 14b at 20psi, ECMLINK, TBE Exhaust) for now but I am planning on stepping up to a billet 20g here shortly.

Is there anyone running a Stage 4 6-puck sprung as a DD? How is the engagement? The stage 4 is 250% increase over stock so 203wtq*2.50= 507wtq.

I don't want to turn this into a debate about how other clutch companies are better. I'm aware that Southbend is a very good clutch.

I have an account at Motovicity who stocks Comp and ACT- I don't like the idea of ACT because of the stories about their issues- thus my reasoning for comp.

I'm just looking to get your guy's thoughts.

I don't think those numbers are right but Maybe they are. Im running a spec stage 2 and it's rated at 400hp and 360tq so you should probably Call comps tech support and ask them yourself. I see alot of people run the stage 4 on their dd but I don't have experience with them. Good luck.

I couldn't comment on the numbers, but they seem low.
I do however have a stage 4 sprung 6-puck that I do DD. Well, did. The talon has
resided to mostly racecar status now and does not see the street more than once a week. Either way, it is very doable. Its rough when starting in slower traffic(especially stop and go). Starting at a light may be a little jarring until you figure out how to start out without chattering. Other than that, be prepared for a very stiff pedal. This clutch is a dramatic increase in pedal pressure and makes every other clutch pedal seem like butter.
I love mine and it held up to the abuse I used to put it through before I dialed back some mods about a year ago. I probably have about 17K on mine and it's still doing great. Don't have a lot of drag launches on it, but it does get put through its paces in twistys a lot and has put up with rallycross abuse(from my wife too) for the past 6 months without any issues. Would definitely get another one if my tq numbers warranted it. I really don't need it for what I'm using now.
FYI, use an oe slave or it'll blow out after a few months.

Thanks all. It Just seems a little weird to me with them only being rated for such a low tq. That 6 puck sounds good. But most of my driving woild be in the city
