Comments on this tubular header.

it is for a t3/t4 turbo, not a mitsu. I'm not sure if you saw that or not but i am just pointing it out.

I got one of these used with the turbo I purchased and the previous owner had problems with the welds. More specifically around the wastegate flange(if so equipped) and around the collector area. Welds around the runners coming out of the head seem original and uncracked, lets hope they hold. Also there is an issue with not being able to fit the wastegate if you keep your power steering pump in it's stock location. I have emailed the seller about why they didn't mention the power steering issue in their auction, or if they had an alternative solution however I received no reply. The head flange might also be warped. Overall it's a POS, but if you can keep up with all the repairs it needs it might just pay off, as the top end will be amazing with the almost equal length design.

looks like another header just like ssautochrome. i wouldnt buy it. ive seen one personally and it seriously looked like i would lose power instead of gain.

That haeder is braced better than some DNP manifolds that I've seen. Its got a brace per runner and then two on the turbo flange. I can't tell for sure whether its a POS from the pic but it doesn't look that bad to be honest. Go with a 2g ported and get an adapter plate if you run a t3 flanged turbo. A ported 2g manifold is actually one of the best flowing manifolds for our cars, the runners flow exceptionally well.

Let's just say you get what you pay for, there is a reason companies charge $600+ for a exhaust manifold.

Or buy it and invest on a wire-feeder welder to repair the cracks from time-to-time.

And you will probably end up wishing that you spent the extra money as you curse every time you have to take you mani off.

Permanent raincheck. :notgood:

Why is so hard to understand that a quality tubular manifold simply can not be manufactured for such low prices? There are reasons why the Shearer, VPE, Autolab, etc. manifolds are so expensive.

Amen to that one. I've had my Pacesetter off probably 6 times. The last leak I developed I just left it on with the car running and kept welding untill I couldn't hear the leak anymore. I'm currently hunting down a ported 2g unit...

Ya those are some crap welds on some parts of it. And looks like whoever made those shit welds left trace burns on some parts of it. Like everyone else is saying, it is just the same mass produced Chinese POS.
