So I got this header in a deal with a turbo and exhaust housing but I'm not sure what the type of header it is. I stopped using headers on my car because of leaks but they were cheap headers and this one looks so much better in quality that I would just like to know what it is and if anyone has used one like it. It is T-3 flanged and my .55 BEP housing is very restrictive so I was thinking of swapping to this, all comments are welcome! Thanks!

Thats definitely not an ebay special manifold, from the pics it looks well built, so its probably from a fab shop. If you decide not to use it , I would be interested in buying it LOL

Close to the rochesterdsm model but the tubes are in different places. I had someone tell me it was a "Dragonfly" manifold but a google search didn't help with that name.

I'm trying to move to a less restrictive setup for my HX40 for better high rpm flow but if I decide not to use it I will post it up.

Close, very close...possibly it. It is a very well manufactured part I can tell that. CNC machined flange, great welds and nice bends. Still open to suggestions and thanks everybody!!!

I had never heard of that company before your post.

That looks alot like a CJ Morrison "DragNFly Performance" manifold. Here's one I have here of his. The name plate was added by him on this one; it's a circa 2014-2015 manifold from him.

Boy Tim that's pretty too! Flange looks like the one I have, tubes are bent just a bit different but excellent quality on yours and the one I have. I am choking my HX40 with my BEP .55 so I was THINKING about putting this on with the divided T-3 Exhaust housing that came with it and "borrowing" my sons V-Band exhaust DP that he is not going to be using....god knows he has borrowed enough of my things LOL plus he is running a top mount now. Right now I am using a FP Race manifold with the BEP housing, any thoughts on any difference this might make? Thank you Tim for all of the shots!

:thumb: thanks Tim.

what makes u think the HX40 is chocking? U could switch from a 12 blade to 10 blade setup to help with backpressure. Or you could just have the wastegate open more, dropping boost, but a dose of nitrous will bring it back up.

I get surge in boost in 5th gear that tells me I am trying to shove more air in than the .55 BEP will let out at 30 lbs of boost anytime over 5000 rpm's (redline is 8250) so I am wanting to get less restrictive on the exhaust side. That .55 is a pretty small hole to shove all of that air out of and I have all of the components just sitting on the floor.

surge in boost? u mean like 30psi in 5th gear spikes up to 40? If so thats your wastegate and boost controller setup.

Im HX40 small bep housing with 3 port EBC and Tial MVS wastegate recirculated back into exhaust and I get zero surge. My turbo will hold 40psi up to my 8k redline using kelford 272s on a stroker motor. The power band does fall flat up top. I am going to try to dial out overlap and see what happens.
