K clutch wont dissengage at all. Will put the ebrake down, put it in first, push clutch in. It will not roll. Now when I put the tranny back in, hooked everything back up. It has pressure but wont disengage. Now I look down at my tranny/ motor and theres like a 1/16th of an inch gap. I have a new slave cylinder, clutch fork, tob, tranny fluid. So should I get a longer slave cylinder rod so it disengages or what? Ive adjusted the pedal and every so often the car wil roll for a couple seconds then stop. Then i have to adjust the pedal again? Leaky master? Any ideas? car has not moved for months.

Now onto the starting problem. I fixed the fuel leak. Car has fuel, and spark ( i think ) . Put in new plugs today. Car wants to start but wont, even tried to jump it. Any chance it could be the starter?

did you put clutch fluid back in and bleed the clutch system? also you said the trans/motor has a 1/16 gap, this could mean something could wrong with the install. i would check all the bolts around the bell housing and look to make sure something didnt get caught in it keeping it missaligned.

as for the starting problems check for sure that there is spark and if you do and still having problems do a compression test just to make sure there is nothing major wrong.

thought compression tests were supposed to be done a warmer motor. Also the bolts are tight. Clutch has pressure, just feels like it doesnt disengage, but yet i can feel it get really hard then disengage so... might also be all the rust on my brakes or ebrake stopping me.. it has been sitting for 6 months.

Sounds like air in the clutch lines, bleed it again and the slave cylinder should extend once the ait is worked out of the system.

Holy shit, bolt those together. WTF

bolts are airtooled on... its only gapped where the little knobs are that the tranny is supposed to slide on. Theres no air in the clutch line. Ive bleed the crap out of it, it shoots out, but i guess i could bleed it a little more. Just ordered a longer slave rod.

The little knobs are dowels that are intended to line the tranny up.
The transmission should (has to) fit on the block without binding. Do not ever use a powered tool to draw up a tranny like you have. The other folks that have done this are all contributing to one of those "my ACT clutch disc blew up" threads.
Pull the transmission and make certain you don't have a burr of aluminum from the dowel gouging the bellhousing keeping things from seating and then reinstall the gearbox.
Maybe you should get some help, this can be a bi*** to do by yourself.

K well hopefully this longer slave rod will make it disengage better. Car hast moved in 6 months so is it possible for the rust on the rotors to keep the car from moving?

I really don't think you have a problem with the slave rod length. Your gearbox isn't installed correctly. There should not be a gap between the bell housing and the block.
If you get the clutch to operate, you'll most likely bust the bell housing the first time you launch the car.
You do have the sheet metal plate that goes between the block and transmission installed correct?

The rusty brakes have no effect on the disengagement of the clutch.

I know they have no affect.. and there is ZERO gap between the bellhousing and block. Onto the brakes. I know they dont directly affect, but the car rolled forward a few times then slowly slowed to a stop. now could the old brakes have something to do w ith that. Already ordered that rod so no going back. Checking to see if i have spark tommorow

The open side with the gear goes down so the gear can engage the ring gear on the flywheel.

Put in upside down, the nose of the starter will be wedged into the ring gear.

just wondering did you change the pivot ball at rebuild.i had alot of problems with my tranny after rebuild, pulled it back out and it was the d&*^ pivot ball wore slam out.some people get away with just taking it off and putting a washer behind it.

ACT 2600 .. No did not change the pivot ball. Also car wont spark. New plugs, changing wires soon. If that doesnt work. Can I only use 90 ignition parts on my car? or do all 1g years interchange?
