So i finally got my car running after a year and i've come across another set of problems. I have 2nd gear, 4th gear, and reverse. I can put it into first with the clutch pressed down, but as soon as i start to let it up it grinds and pops out of gear. I have tried adjusting the clutch numerous times. I have the master rod almost all the way out. Its out to the point if i do another full turn, it comes completely out of the clutch assembly. I've bled the system over and over again. The master is new and so is the slave. Any help is greatly appreciated. Im close to putting it into neutral and pushing it over a cliff.

When you go to 1st, 3rd and 5th the cable is pulling on the trans shift shaft. I would say you have a trans with the wrong shift shaft length or your cables are out of adjustment.

When it pops out like that the trans is not going all the way into gear and if the engagement teeth are not fully seated with the slider it will pop out.

Another possibility which is also common is the slider engagement teeth are worn out and are now too short to lock in the gear properly, so it pops out when loaded.
