hi everyone ,i just bought a 91 eagle talon tsi allwheel drive and am having problems .the car will not go into gear after the car is started .have read alot of similar problems on this site.i did have the free play in pedal so i fixed it use the the tech on this site.i know there is a brand new clutch and through out bearing on my car aswel as a new master cylinder.the only thing that has not been changed is the slave cylinder.i have bleed the slave several times.i have noticed that i can push the slave cylinder in with my finger with little ease. With the cap on the the master cylinder is this normal.(there is no fluid leaking anywhere out of the system.) I am going to try to bleed the lines again now,but any advise would be appreciated. thanks

i would suggest replacing the slave cylinder, they go bad and eventually stop pushing the clutch pedal back out, it's extremly easy to replace and once your done bleed the air out and your good to go. I'm almost willing to bet thats your problem.

just finish bleeding the slave cylinder .that did not work so i am on my way to the parts store to buy that slave cylinder.the man i bought the car from stoped by to day to see if i had fixed it yet .he said that he thought the through out bearing might have been put in backwards, when he changed it.is this even posible. But This transmission problem is why he sold me the car.he could not figure it out .thanks

check to see if you can get the car into gear with the car off. I think it's possible but not likley with the throw out bearing. The slave is cheap and that should definitly fix the problem, also does your clutch pedal stay on the floor or does it come back up?

just got back with the slave cylinder.to dark to put it on now but will try first thing in the morning. The car will go into gear with the car off.when i put it in gear and try to crank the car it moves(with the clutch all the way to the floor).the pedal will come all the way up after released.no play what so ever in pedal.

Check the master cylinder to see if it's leaking. Pull back the black boot. Gotta look under teh dash above the pedals to see it. If there is fluid (boot is wet), the cylinder is leaking. Replace and that should fix your problem.

the slave cylinder did not work either .its like it just dont push far enough to engage the clutch all the way.with the cluch to the floor and the car in first gear(when i crank the car it bearly wants to roll foward. any more suggestions anyone?
