I have been trying to adjust my clutch and have been having issues. I tried to get the friction point at 2 1/2 inches and was not able to get it above 1 inch. I saw black gunk in the fluid and was not able to push in the slave cylinder and thought it was because I needed to replace the slave cylinder. I replaced it and yet again tried to adjust it. Either I am not able to adjust it so that it goes into gear or I am not able to push in the slave cylinder. Someone else told me that since I have a hydraulic clutch it will adjust itself if I am able to get into gear. I have an ACT 2600 clutch and flywheel.

Look up how to properly adjust the clutch so the slave will free float with clutch not pressed. I have same clutch and had no issues if that does not help you may need to shim the pivot ball.
